Man jumps into ex-GF’s car and starts fire, both burn to death

Yesterday morning, a relationship ended in one of the more horrific way imaginable.

The incident occurred on a street in the Anhui city of Wuhu. According to an eyewitness, a man crashed his car into a red SUV driven by a woman, causing the SUV to come to a stop.

The woman got out of her vehicle, however, the man pushed her back inside and climbed into her SUV himself as well. He then poured out some gasoline and set the vehicle ablaze.

Both the man and the woman were killed in the fire. In cell phone footage, the Land Rover is seen rolling slowly down the street, consumed by flames.

Soon afterward, local web users began to identify the two as boyfriend and girlfriend. Meanwhile, police said that the incident was caused by some sort of emotional dispute.

Later in the day, police confirmed that the pair had been in relationship, but had recently broken up. After the break-up, the man had continued to pester the woman, begging her to take him back. Apparently, he eventually decided that if he could not have her, then no one would.
